
Terms and Conditions
Path of Life Ministries Effective Date: July 10, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at www.thepathoflife.com(the "Site"), operated by Path of Life Ministries, a California nonprofit corporation ("Path of Life," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About Path of Life
Path of Life Ministries provides shelter, safety, support, counseling, and related services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Riverside, California and surrounding communities. The Site is provided to share information about our programs, accept donations, facilitate volunteer sign-ups, and allow visitors to contact us for help or to get involved.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with its intended purpose. You agree not to:

Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law;

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems;

Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the servers/networks used to make it available;

Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the Site without our prior written consent;

Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code;

Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;

Submit false, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site, including forms related to requests for shelter, safety, or support services.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site, at our discretion, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to Path of Life, other users, or third parties.
3. Requests for Services (Safety, Support, Shelter)
The Site provides information and contact channels for individuals seeking safety, counseling/support, or shelter services. Please note:

The Site and its contact forms are not monitored 24/7 and are not a substitute for emergency services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing a medical or safety emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Submitting a request for help through the Site does not guarantee the availability of shelter, services, or a specific response time. Services are subject to availability, eligibility criteria, and program capacity.

Any personal information you share with us in connection with a request for services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Donations
The Site allows you to make charitable donations to Path of Life directly or through our third-party giving platform (currently Harness Giving) and other third-party donation processors we may use from time to time.

Donations are processed by third-party payment processors, and your payment information is subject to the applicable processor's terms and privacy practices, not ours. We do not store your full payment card information.

Path of Life Ministries is a nonprofit organization, and donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for consulting your own tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any donation.

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error (e.g., duplicate charge, incorrect amount), please contact us at giving@thepathoflife.com and we will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue.

We reserve the right to decline or return any donation at our discretion.
5. Volunteering and Third-Party Platforms
Volunteer applications are processed through Volgistics, a third-party volunteer management platform. Your use of that platform is subject to Volgistics' own terms and privacy policy. Path of Life is not responsible for the availability, functionality, or data practices of third-party platforms linked from the Site.
6. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (including donation platforms, volunteer management systems, and social media) that are not owned or controlled by Path of Life. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, security, or practices of any third-party site. Your use of any linked third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms and policies.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, video, and the overall design and "look and feel" — is owned by Path of Life Ministries or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws, unless otherwise noted.
You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices. Any other use — including reproduction, distribution, modification, public display, or commercial use — requires our prior written permission.
The "Path of Life" name and logo are trademarks of Path of Life Ministries and may not be used without our prior written consent.
8. User Submissions
If you submit information through a contact form, volunteer inquiry, or other Site feature (other than in connection with a request for services under Section 3), you grant Path of Life a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that information for the purpose of responding to you and operating our programs. Do not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, obscene, or that infringes the rights of any third party.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY INFORMATION ON THE SITE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PATH OF LIFE MINISTRIES, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable California law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Path of Life Ministries and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
12. Accessibility
Path of Life is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Program, and auxiliary aids and services are available upon request. We are committed to making the Site accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the Site, please contact us at the information below so we can assist you.
13. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, including as required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable California privacy laws.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Path of Life Ministries regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements.
