Position Overview: 

The HMIS Data Entry duties include entering data related to enrollment, status assessments, services, VISPDAT and exits into HMIS. 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Ensure HMIS intake/exit forms and VISPDAT are entered into the HMIS. 

  • HMIS data quality management. 

  • Responsible for entering all Services into database daily. 

  • Communicate and track client enrollments within the Coordinated Entry System (CES) 

  • Scan and file intake packets and other pertinent documents daily. 

  • Follow up with staff as needed to ensure needed documents and updated forms are kept to the agency standard.

  • Meet data entry deadlines in a challenging and constantly changing atmosphere. 

  • Light data reporting. 

Daily Operational Duties as requested and assigned: 

  • Respond to all communications provided verbally, in memos and/or e-mails daily. 

  • Attend meetings that relate to job responsibility or as requested by supervisor. 


  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and attention to details. 

  • Strong computer, typing and data processing skills. 

  • This person must be detail‐oriented and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet-based browsers and applications 

  • High School Diploma or AA preferred. 

  • Successful completion of background screening.
